Stu Sontier: Photographer and visual artist living in Tamaki Makaurau, he was predominantly self-taught in traditional black and white darkroom practice and followed a mostly documentary path until concerns over the role of photographs in society caused him to cease for some years. Since 2015, now with digital cameras, he has explored an increasingly experimental approach to the point where he now regularly uses technology and other people’s cameras (such as the aerial and satellite views of Google Earth), as well as exploring the physical aspects of digital media with malfunctioning inkjet printers and related waste materials.

aigardening: Applied physicist living in superposition between Geneva and Vienna, he has designed, constructed and operated high energy particle accelerators at CERN (including the Large Hadron Collider) for over 30 years. As artistic expression, he explores technological processes that bridge code/digital domains and physical production: code-generated pen-plots, manipulation of online resources, home-brew generative neural networks, and primitive ceramic methods.
